qThing IoT Platform

Unify device connections, sense status in real time, and drive smart business automationContact Us

Product Overview

Connect, manage, alert, automate, and maintain — a complete device-management loop

qThing IoT Platform overview

qThing is an IoT platform for enterprise device access, runtime monitoring, and operations and maintenance. It supports TCP, MQTT, Modbus, and other protocols to flexibly fit diverse devices and industry scenarios. With universal thing models and collection-point templates, it standardizes data collection and management, and centrally visualizes devices by product, status, and group. When anomalies occur, the platform triggers scene automation and automatically creates maintenance work orders for closed-loop fault handling. It also provides comprehensive permission and log management to keep operations secure.

Industry Pain Points

Hard device access, hard status visibility, hard anomaly closure

01

Diverse devices make unified access standards hard

Enterprise devices come from many vendors, models, and protocols with inconsistent data structures and message formats. Scattered management lengthens onboarding cycles and keeps maintenance and expansion costs high.

  • Many device vendors and communication protocols
  • Inconsistent device-data formats and collection standards
  • Products, protocols, and device configurations are hard to reuse

02

Growing device counts make unified status visibility difficult

Scattered device information obscures the global picture, and the lack of unified grouping makes troubleshooting inefficient. Alarms are noisy and hard to prioritize, so critical alerts can be missed.

  • Device assets are scattered with no unified management entry
  • Online, offline, and abnormal states are hard to see at a glance
  • Alarms are scattered and critical issues are hard to locate promptly

03

Alarms, handling, and O&M workflows are disconnected

Traditional O&M relies on manual inspection and notification; alarms, automation, and work orders form no closed loop, so handling progress cannot be tracked in real time and scattered history offers little reusable troubleshooting basis.

  • Device alarms rely on manual discovery and forwarding
  • Anomalies and maintenance work orders lack automatic linkage
  • Fault-handling processes and history are hard to trace

Solutions

From device access to O&M handling — one unified platform

Standardized Thing Models and Product Management
01

Standardized Thing Models and Product Management

  • Use universal thing models, product categories, and collection-point templates to uniformly define device product attributes and data-collection standards
  • Build product categories by business scenario with unified templates so new devices of the same type can reuse configurations
  • Centrally manage product firmware and rule-script lifecycles for unified control of product definitions and collection rules

Standard access, unified management, smart automation, closed-loop O&M, secure operations

Unified Thing Models and Collection Standards
01

Unified Thing Models and Collection Standards

Universal thing models and collection-point templates uniformly define how same-type devices collect data and parameters, reducing configuration differences across projects and devices.

Enterprises can build reusable product models by device type and scenario; new devices link to existing products and templates to speed configuration and keep collection standards consistent.

Flexible Communication and Message-Protocol Configuration
02

Flexible Communication and Message-Protocol Configuration

The platform manages communication and message-parsing protocols separately, supporting TCP, MQTT, Modbus, JSON, and water-sector messages.

Administrators can add protocols based on device communication and data structure, and search, edit, and maintain them in a unified list — lowering the complexity of multi-type device access and protocol management.

Unified Device Lifecycle Management
03

Unified Device Lifecycle Management

The platform centrally manages device information and supports fast retrieval by product, status, and device group.

By linking product categories, device groups, status, and alarms, managers can track devices from onboarding through maintenance, improving organization, search, and issue localization.

Closed Loop of Alarms, Automation, and Work Orders
04

Closed Loop of Alarms, Automation, and Work Orders

The platform connects device alarms, scene automation, and maintenance work orders. After a device event, rules can trigger automatic actions; when manual handling is needed, it routes to a work order for continuous tracking.

Classifying work orders as open and completed fully retains fault discovery, task assignment, handling, and results, helping enterprises standardize device-anomaly handling.

Enterprise Permissions and Operations Support
05

Enterprise Permissions and Operations Support

The platform manages users, roles, departments, positions, and menus, and builds user and permission systems around organizational structure; operation logs, login logs, and online-user monitoring keep operations secure.

Combined with message templates, announcements, system parameters, data dictionaries, and scheduled tasks, it provides unified support for daily operations, notifications, and system maintenance.
